The California Mayflower Society Library in Oakland has an extensive collection of genealogical books, documents and other materials that you can peruse to try to locate those hard-to-find links to your ancestor.
Hours of Operation
The Library is closed to the public, but can be opened to California Mayflower members only, only by making an advanced appointment. Please call the number above to express your interest to go there.
Appointments are necessary. Masks are required in the building and vaccinations required for visitors. Anyone exhibiting any sickness will be restricted from the library for your health and the health of others. Please come after you have quarantined the requisite days and test negative for any disease. Browse Our Catalog The California Genealogical Society Library, across the hallway, will be open on the following schedule: By appointment only: Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays: 10a-12:30p and 1-3:30pm (limited to 5 patrons). Please call ahead of time to ensure that a library assistant will be available. Often on Saturdays the exterior building door will be locked. In this case, please call the office and the volunteer will come to open the door for you.
