We are excited to welcome you to the Los Angeles Colony. We were the second chartered Colony in the The Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of California in 1916.
The Los Angeles Colony generally covers the Los Angeles basin, from the San Fernando Valley in the north through Long Beach in the south. The diversity of the Los Angeles Colony is incredible, from the Santa Monica pier, the beautiful views of Catalina Island, the Hollywood Hills and PCH along the Santa Monica and Malibu Coast. We have many attractions that folks the world over visit, such as the famed Queen Mary in Long Beach, the Hollywood Sign and the Griffith Observatory. One cannot miss the beautiful city skyline of Downtown Los Angeles, as seen above. (Map of the general area covered by the Los Angeles Colony)

If you live within the general area on the map, this would be your preferred Primary Colony, so that you can actively participate better in Mayflower Society events within your local area. Annual Dues for the California Society are $75.00 per year. However, for a small fee of just $4.00 per Colony, you can become a dual member of one or more other Colonies within the State. That fee will be paid when your Annual Dues are paid. Prospective New Member of the Los Angeles Colony: First, please fill out a Preliminary Application to join the Mayflower Society. Once notified by the State Historian, please contact the Colony Membership Chair for help in completing your application: |
