The Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of California

The Redwood Empire Colony covers the Northwestern tier of California up the coast north of San Francisco to the Oregon Border along the 101 Corridor. Based in Santa Rosa and encompassing the famed Napa and Somona Valleys, this Colony contains some of the most stunning landscapes in the State. The Colony was chartered in 1976 and has about 150 active members.

If you live within the general area on the map, this would be your preferred Primary Colony, so that you can actively participate better in Mayflower Society events within your local area. Annual Dues for the California Society are $75.00 per year. However, for a small fee of just $4.00 per Colony, you can become a dual member of one or more other Colonies within the State. That fee will be paid when your Annual Dues are paid. Prospective New Member of the Redwood Empire Colony: First, please fill out a Preliminary Application to join the Mayflower Society. The next Redwood Empire Colony meeting will likely be in February, 2024. The General Society Triennial Congress in Plymouth, MA runs from September 8-13, 2023. Redwood Empire is hosting a Compact Day gathering on November 18, 2023. Colony members will be notified of the details of the Compact Day meeting and the next membership meeting by email or USPS mail.
